The High Court quashed the order making Saturday a working day in government and aided schools up to class 10 in the state. Justice A. Ziyad Rahman’s order was taken after considering the petition filed by teachers’ organizations and students.
At present, Saturday is a working day for schools. But the court clarified that it should not be done from now on. The court said that the government can take an appropriate decision in consultation with education experts and teachers’ unions in the matter of working days
