Walking pneumonia, which is not as severe as pneumonia but has similar symptoms, is increasing in children. It is a lung infection that occurs in children due to cold weather and dusty environment.

The infection is caused by bacteria and viruses. Bacteria such as Mycoplasma and Chlamydophila are the most common causes of this pneumonia. It is more common in children under school age.

Doctors advise caution, even if it is not severe. Symptoms include a slight fever, body aches, cough, fatigue, headache, and shortness of breath. If the symptoms persist, further testing is required.
