Formation of a new low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, the state will witness heavy rains again . The Meteorological Department has predicted that the cyclonic circulation located over the northwest Bay of Bengal, north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coast will intensify into a low pressure area by this evening.
Isolated heavy rains and winds up to 50 kmph are possible. The Kallar river is overflowing due to heavy rains. The water level in the Noolpuzha Puzhamkuni riverbed has risen. Eight people have been shifted to camps. More families will be shifted to camps soon.
