Collectors have declared a holiday for educational institutions in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam and Idukki districts on Friday (June 27) in view of the continued heavy rains. A red alert, warning of very heavy rains, is in effect in Idukki and an orange alert , warning of heavy rains, is in effect in the other three districts.
As a precautionary measure in the wake of the ongoing rains, Collector Arjun Pandian announced a holiday for all educational institutions, including professional colleges, in the district on Friday. The holiday applies to all educational institutions, including CBSE, ICSE, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwadis, Madrasas, tuition centers, and training institutes. However, there will be no holiday for residential educational institutions. There will be no change in the scheduled exams and interviews.
In the wake of the heavy rain and wind, the District Collector has declared a holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in the district tomorrow (June 27). The holiday is applicable to all educational institutions including Anganwadis, Madrasas, Tuition Centers, Training Institutes, Kendriya Vidyalayas. The holiday is not applicable to residential educational institutions. The lost study time should be made up for by conducting online classes.
