This month’s welfare pension distribution will begin from today. 62 lakh beneficiaries will receive pension of Rs 1600 each.
Last month, beneficiaries received two months’ pension, including one installment of arrears. Pension is being paid directly to bank accounts and cooperative society employees’ homes. The Finance Minister has instructed to complete the pension distribution within a week. One installment of arrears is also remaining.
