Perumathura: The second Perumathura Premier League (PPL) will begin today. The cricket tournament, which will begin at 4 pm at the Madanvila Welfare Stadium in Perumathura, will be inaugurated by Kadinamkulam Police Inspector Sajan B.S.
Royals will face No Name XI in the opening match. Apart from Royals and No Name XI, the other teams are Red Raptors, MCC, Pozhikara Boys, and Puthukurichi Panthers. Royals led by Shehin will face No Name XI led by Adil in the opening match.
Prominent figures from the political, social and cultural sectors will attend the inaugural session. The organizers said that the tournament is being organized with the noble aim of diverting student youth from drugs and other things and bringing them to the intoxication of sports. In the first season of PPL, Stoo Chasers lifted the cup and faced Perumal Fighters in the final. The league matches will be held first. The final is on Sunday, February 23.
